The Kelly Mill Elementary PTO Executive Board would like to extend a socially distanced welcome to both new and returning COLTS, both virtual and face to face!

There is no doubt that this will be an extraordinary school year, with plenty of uncharted territory for all of us. The first few weeks of any school year are always filled with excitement, anticipation, and questions; this year will be no exception. The PTO is here to help with the transition as we all strive to keep the COLT family safe, happy, and enriched.

The PTO is an integral part of the KME family. In years past, the PTO has hosted many great events, such as Variety Show, Father Daughter dance, Mother Son Event and Veterans Day, as well as fund raising events such as the Color Run and Boosterthon. Last year, over $50,000 was raised which helped fund great things for KME like water bottle filler stations, portable hand sanitizer stations, teacher planning days, teacher grants, the multi-grade level Math Manipulatives centers and the new track.

This year will bring new challenges and changes to the events that can be hosted, while the need for supplemental school funds only becomes more pronounced. Programs such as Amazon Smiles, Spirit Nights, and partnerships with stores like Publix and Kroger are more vital than ever, as are the corporate matching programs for contributions and/or volunteered time. We will gladly provide you with a list of these programs in the upcoming weeks.

The success of the PTO is dependent on the KME community of PTO members. Opportunities to help and volunteer will be vastly different this than years past, but everyone’s involvement starts with joining the PTO family. The PTO motto is “Together We Accomplish More,” and that motto rings louder now as we all navigate this extraordinary year together.

Please visit the PTO website at to join today! Memberships are tax deductible and most companies will match your donation. There is a list of companies who match under the fundraising section of our website.
