Your child's teacher will ask for volunteers to be a Room Parent at the beginning of the year. The teacher will select one or two volunteers to be the the classroom Room Parents for the year. Room Parents provide an invaluable service to the school. In addition to coordinating class parties and events, a Room Parent is the main source of communication between the PTO, your teacher, and the parents in your class. The Room Parent will be invited to attend an orientation meeting at the beginning of the school year where you will receive an overview of the Room Parent role.
